What does it mean to be a Temple of the Living God?
This passage I'm going to quote is one found in the New Testament quoting the Old Testament. I think that it is simply amazing to think about what it means to be a Temple of the Living God. It should be a great encouragement to all those who believe in Jesus Christ. Please if you don't know Jesus Christ in a personal relationship and would like to know more about it, don't hesitate to ask questions or make comments. Thanks!
2 Corinthians 6:16-18 says, "....For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, 'I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.' 'Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,' says the Lord. 'And do not touch what is unclean; and I will welcome you.' 'And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me,' says the Lord Almighty." (NASB)

Hey Josh! Thanks for posting a comment on my blog. I also got your phone message; I hope to talk to you via phone soon.
The main thematic element of the temple of God is His sanctifying and mighty presence amoung His people. On my blog, I will soon be commenting on how God displays His presence amoung His people in Joshua Chapter 3-4 and the implications of that to them and to the nations.
As a question, do you think this is talking of personal or Church communal holiness? How do the passages quoted connect or disconnect, contrast or compare to Israel's relationship to God and the Church's relationship to God?
